The Department of Translation and Foreign Languages focuses its activities on the teaching of English and Spanish to give students general and professional language skills for effective communication in academic and professional environment.

The focus of the department - the gradual introduction of European recommendations of language education for students tiered ownership of English for professional communication for the tourism industry and supported by the British Council in Ukraine.

Head of Department

Volynets Vladimir, Vice Rector for International Relations, candidate of science, professor KUTEL, the Excellent Education of Ukraine, Honored worker of tourism in Ukraine. As a member of the official delegation of Ukraine he participated in the WTO, UN General Assembly in Beijing (2003, China) and Dakar (2005, Senegal). He speaks English, German and Arabic. Graduated from FMT Odessa National Mechnikov University. Trained in the Arab Republic of Egypt as an interpreter of English at the Ministry of Geology of Egypt. He worked at the Institute for Advanced Training of Teachers of Social Sciences at the Kyiv National Shevchenko University, Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, Kiev Economic Institute of Management, Institute of International Relations of the National Aviation University.

In 2000 - 2008 he was the dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations of KUTEL.

Outstanding individuals - members of the department:

At the department formed a school of Spanish, led by Arturo Castro. Born in Cuba. Received higher education and master's thesis at the Kiev National Shevchenko University. He taught at the University of Havana, in the IIRof the Kiev National Shevchenko University. Author of about 40 scientific works. For a long time worked in the Embassy of Spain in Ukraine. In his spare time enjoys traveling.
