KUTEL at the International Conference "Ensuring the quality of legal education, university autonomy and academic freedom in the context of training specialists for the XXI century legal profession"
April 24-25, 2018 teachers of the law faculty KUTEL candidate of sciences, associate professor KUTEL Vyshnevska Yu.V. and candidate of sciences, associate professor Maksimova L.O. took part in the International Conference "Ensuring the quality of legal education, university autonomy and academic freedom in the context of training specialists for the law profession of the XXI century", which was organized jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, The program "New Justice" and was held on the basis of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The conference was attended by representatives of ministries of Ukraine, leaders of the legal profession, representatives of law schools of Ukraine and other countries, representatives of civil society organizations, international experts.
As part of the sessions of the conference, participants:
- discussed the autonomy of higher education institutions in its close connection with the improvement of the overall quality of legal education and access to regulated legal professions;
- Presented methodologies and tools for ensuring the quality of legal education;
- discussed modern trends and innovations in the field of legal education;
- identified best practices for ensuring the quality of legal education and lessons learned;
- prepared recommendations for the advancement of legal education reform in the light of international and European standards and best practices.
We consider the work of the conference to be useful and timely in the context of the urgent improvement of the quality of legal education in Ukraine.
