PROTECTION OF MASTER'S WORKS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF THEORY AND PRACTICE OF TOURISM AND HOTEL BUSINESS
On February 26-27, 2018, the Department of Theory and Practice of Tourism and Hospitality of the Faculty of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business hosted the defense of the master's thesis of specialty 242 "Tourism".
The work of the State Certification Commission was headed by Andriy Shenin, head of the department of economic analytics, statistics and science of the Department of Tourism and Resorts. Among the members of the commission are leading scientists of the department: Minich Irina Mikhailovna, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Professor KUTEL; Didenko Katerina Dmitrievna, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor.
The defense was attended by the rector of KUTEL - the doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Vladimir Fedorchenko and dean of the faculty of tourism, hotel and restaurant business candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Parubets Oleg Valentinovich.
All works corresponded to the requirements of relevance, practical orientation and novelty. The results of master's theses have been tested at university-wide student conferences and are planned to be implemented in the practice of tourism business. Commission members noted high quality, relevance of topics and a decent level of all master's studies.
Particularly worth mentioning is the master's work of the students: Volkova A.O. (already a Ph.D. in International Relations at the University of London) - "Problems and Prospects for the Organization of Foreign Tours", the subject of study of which was the author's tours, as the most promising direction for the development of foreign tourism; Bondarenko O.O. - "Development and implementation of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites for cultural tourism on the example of the tourist enterprise "Rest Tour" company; Melnikova A.O. - "Development and implementation of a theatrical excursion "Park of Desires".
