The second training seminar, dedicated to the project “English for Specific Purposes in Tourism and Hospitality” was held in February 25-27, 2010.

The second training seminar, dedicated to the project “English for Specific Purposes in Tourism and Hospitality” was held in February 25-27, 2010 by initiative of Department of translation and foreign languages of KUTEL within the frames of Ukrainian Association of Educators in the Fields of Tourism and Hospitality with the help of British Council in Ukraine.
Executives and teachers of Departments of foreign languages from Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Ternopil, Cherkassy, Chernihiv, Yalta, which were representatives of 15 Higher Educational Establishments of Ukraine, among them educators from KUTEL, took part in the seminar, that was held at the building of sanatorium “Koncha Zaspa” with the aim to design new National ESP Curriculum for Tourism and Hospitality taking into account Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and British experience of creating modern Curriculums. During the event there were not only discussed nowadays demands, estimated methodology of teaching English, but also offered new methods and opportunities for teaching. According to the results of training course activities, participants received a document that certifies qualification improvement.
This seminar was not the last but one more step to the European integration in the sphere of education. Teachers received exact tasks that include collecting materials for designing Curriculums, so fruitful work of participants is going to continue in the future.
